Ulcer (sorry no pics yet!)

Last week Dayne completed his first century ride. That is he rode his bike (yes, bycicle) 106 miles around Utah Lake. This race was called the Ulcer. Not sure why. Anyway, he completed it with his sister, Andrea in 5 hr. 55 min. He was really happy with his time, and I was really proud of him.

He has been training all summer and working up to this race. I sent him off early the morning of the race and met up with him at the finish line. That's when I realized I forgot the camera. Thank goodness my awesome in-laws remembered theirs. However, Dayne flew by that finish line so fast that I couldn't get a good shot of him, and I was so anxious to get the picture that I forgot to cheer (which was the reason we came!). I got a good shot of Andrea coming in just seconds behind, though. And then I took a happy picture of him on his feet with his medal. Now we just have to wait for my mother-in-law to email me those pics.

As for Dayne, he is already talking about training for next year's race. He's gonna beat his own time. I asked him if he was ready for the Lotoje (a race through the mountains, across state lines, and covering over 200 miles). He said "No Way." But I reminded him that I'm never ready to get pregnant again for awhile after I've had a baby, so he should give himself a few months to make any final decisions.

Hopefully, pics will be coming soon.
