August is not over! I have more!

We decided to get away from things for a couple days before Jackson got into school and stuff. So Dayne took some time away from work and we escaped.
This is the view of Utah Lake from the other side.
Dayne taught Levi how to fish and later we fed him to the dinosaurs.

I won't bore you with all the pictures but we ended up camping out in Grandma and Grandpa's back yard. (Video to come) We had an exhausting time. The next day we headed to another dinosaur museum (Thanksgiving Point) and Daddy relaxed while I took Jackson to his school open house to meet his teachers.

Dayne and I also celebrated our 8th anniversary a few weeks ago. I use the word celebrate VERY loosely, here. Yes, Dayne and I had a nice date that evening, but it was your basic grab a bite to eat and go the the bookstore (and not buy any books). However, in the morning we took the kids and drove over to the temple where we were married and walked around. We talked to the kids about how we would be a family forever, and they ran around with total irreverence and ignored us. It was lovely.

That's awesome how you "celebrated" your anniversary. We had our 10th anniversary this last year and I don't even think we got to go out because of Ben's school schedule. It's okay, he'll have time to make it up - forever is a long time!
