A little of this and a little of that

I was struck by lightening. I was gloating about how I've done so well this winter about not getting sick. My kids and husband all had colds at different times but I never got it. Of course this was probably due to some hidden talent I possess. Whatever the case, I am sick now. It's been coming on slow, I think to trick me. It worked. So sorry to anyone I have contaminated in the early onset. I am taking none of the blame. You will have to go further up the line to find the culprit who started this mess.

As for our otherwise happy happenings, we have smoothly transitioned Brooklyn into a big bed from her crib. She loves it and requests "my big bed" every time we go for "night night."

Dakotah is now sitting up well and plays that way quite nicely. She is now 7 months old and the comment I keep getting is that people think she looks much too small to be sitting up. She is also starting to get up on her knees and toes, sometimes resulting in a nose dive into the floor. That usually is followed by a cry for help and a short (but simpathetic) laugh from those of us watching.

Now I must end my blog update or face the wrath of my children. Since Dayne is all snuggled on the couch trying to sleep, I am left to defend myself. Off I go.
