A Bit of Worm Tickling

Yesterday I planted flowers in our front yard (which today are more than likely going to die from uprootedness by a small hand/hands). However, we had an interesting discovery in our flower bed. We dug up a new and strange looking worm, and Brooklyn, who simply cannot pass up a good worm, had to get involved. She tried to feed it and pamper it, but then I found an earth worm! She promptly reunited her new little friend with his long lost father, and all was well in the world again.
Then came this, "I tickled the worms, Mom." My absent minded reply as I am busily working in the dirt: "You did?" "Yes, they love that!" Needless to say, the poor worm (who was really doomed from the start) met his fate once Brooklyn decided he might enjoy some warm sunbathing on a rock.
