Yesterday I went back to the doctor to get another ultrasound. They wanted to check viability (I guess that means make sure I'm still pregnant. I could have told them that by my appetite.) Anyway, I got to hear the baby's heartbeat and even got a picture. I would post the picture, but I don't have a scanner and it pretty much resembles a peanut. So I will spare you all. They also measured the baby and found that I am almost 8 weeks and my due date will be December 10th. For those of you saying to yourself at this moment, "Oh, if you wait a few days you can have the baby on your birthday," I say to you No way Hose!!! I refuse to stay pregnant longer than my alotted 10 months. (Yes, it is really 10 months, 40 weeks, you do the math.)
Forgive me if I sound a little sarcastic about this pregnancy. My heart is completely open to this new member of our family. I am just not real pleased with what it is doing to my body right now, especially because I didn't get to enjoy my size 6 body for very long. The Lord truly has an impecible sense of timing. And in comedy timing is everything, right?!

Max was due on Aug 5th, but he didn't join us until the 9th. Yep, that is my birthday. The one day that I didn't want him to come! But I must admit, meeting my little man, and not being pregnant anymore were both pretty good birthay presants.
Yes, the Lord does have some serious comedic timing. I was getting out my maternity clothes and realized I had some of my "skinny" clothes in there - ones that I really liked. Of course now it will be 2-3 years before I see them again (if I see them again).
