Since the year is out and I am in the mood for looking back and looking ahead, I thought I would share some of our best moments from the past year and our wishful thinking for this coming year. So here it goes:
2008
10. Watching the gas prices fall this winter. (A true joy.)
9. The Twilight experience (books and movie), at least for me.
8. Brooklyn's first act of destruction that cost us money.
7. Seeing every animated movie we own at least 20 times each.
6. Getting our new refrigerator. Yes, the one that's sitting out in the garage not being used. That's the one.
5. Reuniting with family this summer.
4. Bringing home our baby chicks and watching them grow into mean roosters.
3. Jackson starting school and getting on the bus for the first time.
2. Our trip to Illinois, the first vacation since our honeymoon 6 years ago.
1. Bringing Dakotah into the world definitely tops the list of the best experiences of the year! She has brought so much joy to us and reminds me of the purity of new life.
2009
1. To sell our house.
2. Brooklyn to be diaper free.
3. Less yelling and more playing with kids.
4. Grandma & Grandpa Godbold to come home from Paraguay.
5. Hopefully a trip to San Diego for the family reunion.
6. A new home. (Keep your fingers crossed.)
7. A romantic gettaway once I can leave the baby over night.
8. A laptop for me, a tredmill for him.
9. No broken bones or missing children.
10. Gas prices to stay low for just a few more months.
Happy New Year Everyone!
